Acer’s Liquid E3 now available on Three

Another week and another smartphone launches on the Three network. This time it’s the snazzy E3 from Acer and it’s bound to be popular with the selfie brigade as boasts a 13 mega pixel rear facing camera, with a more modest 2 mega pixel front facing one.

Sticking with the cameras, the advanced rear camera manages to takes great photos in low light and the front-facing one comes equipped with flash making the Acer Liquid E3 is a great, affordable, choice for those who use their phone to capture every day moments…every day!

One thing that sounded kinda neat, to me at least, is the quick-launch button on the back of the phone that quickly wakes it up, allowing people to either launch their favourite apps, like Twitter or Facebook, or take them straight to the camera so they can capture that perfect shot.

A Three spokesperson said, “The Liquid E3 takes everything we loved about last year’s E2 to the next level, offering our customers some premium features at a great price. It has the most powerful camera available within its price bracket and combined with our tariffs, this is a smartphone that’s easy to use yet doesn’t break the bank.”

Some of those premium features include front-facing speakers powered by DTS Sound™, which pair perfectly with the device’s HD display, to bring any soundtrack to life.

One thing that isn’t so premium is the measly 4Gb of internal memory, that will soon fill up if you don’t shift your photos but it does have a microSD slot so you can potentially add another 32Gb

The E3 is currently exclusive to Three and you can pick one up either in-store or online. The upfront PAYG price is a fairly reasonable £134.99 but as you can see from the graphic below, Three have a plethora of options should you wish to take the no upfront cost option and settle for a 24 month contract.
